Cabbage sabzi is one of my favorite Indian dish. Besides that, this is healthy and delicious. It’s easy and quick to prepare. This is purely plant-based dish. It goes really well with rice, bread, and Rotis. But if you don’t have rotis no worry, you can have this too with steak or baked salmon.
Ingredients for fried cabbage recipe:
2 tablespoons of mustard oil
1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
2 dried red chilies
10 or more curry leaves
1/2 cup of chopped red onions
4 cups of shredded cabbage
1 cup Green peas
1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
1 teaspoon Coriander powder
1 teaspoon Red chili powder
1 teaspoon of mango powder
Salt to taste
Directions in making fried cabbage Indian recipe:
Heat the mustard oil in a pan on medium heat in 2 mins
Add the mustard seeds, let the seeds pop.
Then add curry leaves and red chilies. Sauté for 30 seconds.
Add cut red onions and saute it until it becomes brown
Then add cabbage and green peas. Mix properly
Add mango powder
Add coriander powder, chili powder, and turmeric powder. Mix well.
Cover the pan and cook it for 5-8 minutes or until cabbage and green peas are cooked.
Stir in between to make sure that it doesn’t burn and get stick to the bottom of the pan.
