Organic kale leaves

We were at the store the other day and saw a bag of kale chips. It was a small bag and the price listed was $7.99!! Needless to say, we passed (specially considering the size of the bag).

So I decided to make them at home!

Kale chips are one of the nutritious snack you can make for yourself, for your kids, for your family and friends. They are an excellent source of vitamin C, good source of minerals and they contain antioxidants that help lowering cholesterol. If you have a kale plants you can just grab some leaves and you can make your own kale chips.

They are easy to make and for sure, you will love them specially the cheesy flavour. If you love spicy flavour that is great too. The good thing with kale chips is, you can use different spices, like if you love Indian flavour you can add masala, if you want little bit sour flavour, you can add lemon or vinegar.

Kale chips can be baked in 5 to 10 mins.

You can have kale chips as snack with your tea or coffee while watching your favourite tv shows, while making school projects or you can bring as a snack for when you travel.

How to store kale chips to keep its crunchiness? 3 to 5 mins after they have cooled down from baking, store them in an airtight container at room temperature.

So, without further ado, lets get started!

Ingredients


Bunch of Organic Kale
Avocado Oil
1 Tbsp Sea Salt
5 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast
1 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder (Optional – if you like it spicy..measure to taste)


Preparation

Wash the kale leaves properly Remove the stem Dry the kale leaves using spinner Cut into chip sizes Put salt, other spices Add avocado oil Gently massage the mixture Add the nutritional yeast then give another massage

Be sure to dry your kale chips before adding oil, salt, spices or nutritional yeast Gently massage the kale leaves for the absorption of the salt and spices/nutritional yeast
